Fully structural joint and pipe wall point repairs can often be performed without requiring a bypass or dewatering. Repairs will meet or exceed ASTM F-1216 standards and are typically accomplished through manhole access. Pipe wall cleaning and surface preparation, including removal of most previously installed materials, is performed prior to repairs. Chemical grouting, for soil stabilization, can be executed simultaneously during the repair cure period.
Some materials which can be removed without damaging the host pipe are:
All forms of corrosion, Cement mortar Linings, Coal Tar & Bitumen Liners, Virtually all synthetic polymer linings, Biofilms, And most chemical contaminants.
